Submission received: 24 November 2023 / Accepted: 24 November 2023 / Published: 6 December 2023
The journal retracts the article entitled ‘Evaluation of Soil Pollution by Potential Toxic Elements in Cultivated Land in the Poyang Lake Region Based on an Improved Matter–Element Extension Model’ [1].
Following publication, the authors contacted the editorial office and raised concerns relating to an overlap with a previously published article [2] published by the same authors in another language, and a lack of appropriate permission to re-publish content and requested that it be retracted. Adhering to our complaints procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board that confirmed a significant overlap, which included a number of identical figures and tables, a lack of permission to republish this content and that the authors did not comply with the journal’s submission policy relating to the republishing of translated content. Therefore, the Editorial office and the Editorial Board decided to retract this article as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor in Chief of Forests.
The authors agreed to this retraction.
