Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper proposes an interesting topic and conducts an empirical research to How did Amazon achieve CSR and some Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)- climate change, circular economy, water resources and employee rights during COVID-19. The paper cites a lot of relevant studies in this field as well as quite recent contributions. From this point of view, I believe that the manuscript can be published in the JRFM journal in its current state.

1.     Originality:

Corporate social responsibility and corporate sustainability development are both very good issues, especially during the covid-19 period when it was a challenge to keep the above two main points in mind. I think it is valuable that the authors are willing to choose such issues to express.

2.     Relationship to Literature:

The literature is undoubtedly very informative, and the content is written around corporate social responsibility, which I think is a good way to present it.

3.     Methodology:

The approach of this article has a kind of phenomenological methodology, which is rare for research articles in the business field, but I think the authors have handled it with great care, which is also in line with academic standards and can present a critical perspective. I think this methodology is a very rare and interesting approach.

4.     Results:

Of course, this article uses Amazon as a case study, which is useful for the subject of the study, but also because of the visibility and popularity of the case study for all organizations around the world to refer to and learn from the results. This is a very worthwhile result to promote.

5.     Implications for research, practice and/or society:

I think that any manager who is interested in sustainable development will find this research worth reading. Although there is a plethora of articles discussing these points, I found this article to be very readable.

6.     Quality of Communication:

As I mentioned above, the topic of this article is well mastered both in terms of professionalism and value. At the same time, the subject of this article is a well-known representative enterprise, which will be a very good research article for academic communication, and I think it will contribute to knowledge.
