This short communication provides experimental details of the following cyclization reaction: 1,2,5-oxadiazole-3,4-dicarboxylic acid dicarbohydrazide 2 under the action of hydrochloric acid yields 5,6-dihydro[1,2,5]oxadiazolo[3,4-d]pyridazin-4,7-dione 1 in moderate to poor yield. The authors attribute the low yields to decomposition under prolonged reaction conditions.

The short communication is written well and the product is fully characterized. I believe this communication is appropriate for Molbank and therefore I recommend publication without any changes.

The article describes the synthesis and characterization of 5,6-dihydro-[1,2,5]oxadiazolo[3,4-d]pyridazine-4,7-dione formed by cyclization of 1,2,5-oxadiazole-3,4-dicarbohydrazine in hydrochloric acid. The title compound is not new (PubChem CID 6417079 and CAS 898057-22-2), but the authors described a new method to synthesize it. The structure of the compound was confirmed by elemental analysis, high resolution mass-spectrometry, 1H, 13C NMR, IR spectroscopy and mass-spectrometry.

In general, the manuscript is well written, and the introduction is adequate to the described compound. The experimental procedure is clear, and the characterization data is in accordance with the synthesized compound.

I recommend the publication as it is.
