Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Pathology is an important approach of studying the occurrence, development, and outcome of diseases, and plays an irreplaceable role in revealing the mechanisms of disease. At present, viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites, etc., still have a great impact on the health of domestic animals, especially due to factors such as viral mutation, bacterial resistance, mixed infections, immune failure, and aging, which worsens the health of domestic animals. Diseases are becoming more and more complex, posing a more severe challenge to their diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and control. Elucidating the disease mechanisms of domestic animals using molecular pathology methods will play a great role in maintaining animal health.

The aim of this Special Issue is to collect reviews and/or original research articles on the pathogenesis and molecular pathology of epidemics in domestic animals. Submissions can include, but are not limited to, the following:

- New aspects of the pathogenesis of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases in domestic animals;

- New findings and insights into domestic animal disease pathology;

- The pathology and pathogenesis of mixed infections in domestic animals;

- The histopathology and molecular pathology diagnosis of difficult cases of domestic animals.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page.
