Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Over the past two decades, the construction industry has been striving for a green transformation. Despite myriad industrial and academic initiatives, this target still remains daunting. Holistic management frameworks are necessary to streamline the aforementioned initiatives towards a greener construction sector. The focus of this Special Issue is project management practices for the green transformation of the construction industry. This issue will be a platform for state-of-the-art research in green construction planning, building information modeling, sustainable procurement, and green construction management. Topics covered include and are not limited to:

  1. Pre-project planning for green construction projects;
  2. Environmental, social, and economic performance evaluation of construction projects based on spatial variations;
  3. Building information modeling (BIM) for the green transformation of the construction sector;
  4. Implementation of sustainable procurement in the construction sector;
  5. Quality and safety management in green construction projects;
  6. Social life cycle assessment of construction projects.

This Special Issue welcomes articles that investigate technical solutions, methodological frameworks, literature reviews, and case studies on greener project management. Research on adopting building information modeling and big data for sustainable construction management is also welcome.
