Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Over the last century, global scientists and policy makers have been working together to build a world without hunger and malnutrition. However, food security is still a dream to billions of people who have been facing chronic hunger and acute malnutrition. In addition to rapid population increase, climate change, and natural disasters like outbreak of pandemic diseases severely affected world food supply. A sustainable improvement of agricultural production technologies and management practices can ensure continuous supply of nutritional foods to the ever-growing population of theworld. It is, therefore, a tremendous task to the scientists to overcome these challenges by developing novel ideas and innovating technologies to develop a hunger free and healthy next generation.

Through this research topic, we aimed to deliver new knowledge towards scientific communities by providing current research updates of technological advancement in increasing agricultural production, food nutrition and sustainability. In this Special Issue, we would like to invite authors to submit original research articles and reviews. Topic of interest includes, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Current practices in sustainable agricultural production.
  • Crop management for increased profitability, productivity and adaptation.
  • Methods of crop genetic improvement
  • Novel agricultural technologies.
  • Integrating technologies to improve production efficiency, profitability and sustainability
  • Application of technologies for farm profitability, efficient food supply, and human health.
  • Technologies for Net zero carbon emmission.
  • Technologies for clamate change adaptation.
  • Technologies for sustainable pest management.
  • Innovative and efficient post-harvest technologies.
  • Micribiome for agricultural sustainability and yield enhancement.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Sustainability is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
