Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue, titled "Storage and Catalytic Conversion of Sustainable Energy", presents a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the fields of lithium batteries, photocatalysis, and electrocatalysis. With a particular focus on addressing the pressing energy challenges faced by our society in terms of a sustainable energy future, the collection of articles explores innovative solutions for efficient energy storage and conversion, giving us valuable insights and promising strategies.

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to invite you to contribute to a Special Issue of our esteemed journal focusing on the theme of "Storage and Catalytic Conversion of Sustainable Energy". This Special Issue aims to showcase the latest advancements and breakthroughs in the fields of battery technologies, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, and related areas.

This Special Issue will encompass a wide range of topics within the domains of battery research, photocatalysis, and electrocatalysis, with an emphasis on sustainable energy storage and conversion. We welcome original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that shed light on innovative approaches, novel materials, and cutting-edge techniques in the following areas (but not limited to):

  1. Advances in lithium batteries: Electrode materials, electrolyte systems, battery architectures, safety enhancements, and performance optimization.
  2. Photocatalysis for sustainable synthesis and environmental applications: Photocatalytic materials, reactor designs, reaction mechanisms, and their potential in addressing global challenges such as pollution remediation, carbon dioxide reduction, and renewable fuel production.
  3. Electrocatalysis for energy conversion and storage: Catalyst designs, reaction kinetics, electrochemical interfaces, and their applications in water splitting, CO2 reduction, fuel cells, and related processes.

We encourage you to submit your original research, comprehensive reviews, or insightful perspectives related to the aforementioned topics. All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the highest scientific quality. Detailed submission guidelines can be found on our journal's website.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Sustainability is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
