Feature papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. A Feature

future research directions and describes possible research applications.

positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world.
Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly
interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the
most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.
As Editor-in-Chief of Separations, I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 Separations Travel Award:
Belen Gonzalez-Gaya, a post-doctoral fellow at Plentzia Marine Station of EHU/UPV (University of the Basque Country), whose research focused on the development of analytical methodologies intended to study the presence of xenobiotics and metabolites in the milieu. She is planning to present one oral presentation «Fate of atmospheric aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) into the oligotrophic ocean» and three poster presentations «The evaluation and selection of techniques for non-directed analysis of xenobiotics in water using LC-HR-Q-Orbitrap/MS», «Non-targeted analysis of xenobiotics in fish muscle», and «Effect-directed analysis of contaminants of emerging concern in hospital effluents» at the SETAC Europe 2019 that will take place in May 2019 in Helsinki, Finland. The award consists of 800 Swiss Francs to attend this conference. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Gonzalez-Gaya on her award!
