Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The Special Issue "Nano/Micro-structured Materials for Gas Sensor" aims to provide a comprehensive platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge research on the development and application of nano/micro-structured materials for gas sensing technologies. The utilization of advanced nano/micro-structured materials has shown great promise in enhancing the sensitivity, selectivity, and response time of gas sensors, thereby addressing critical challenges in environmental monitoring, industrial safety, and healthcare diagnostics. This Special Issue welcomes contributions covering a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Synthesis and characterization of nano/micro-structured materials for gas sensing applications.
  • Advanced fabrication techniques for nanostructured gas sensor devices.
  • Integration of nanostructured materials into functional gas sensors.
  • Applications of nanostructured gas sensors in environmental monitoring, industrial safety, and medical diagnostics.

We encourage researchers, engineers, and practitioners from both academia and industry to submit their original research articles, reviews, and short communications that advance the understanding and application of nano/micro-structured materials for gas sensing. By bringing together diverse perspectives and innovative approaches, this Special Issue aims to accelerate the development and deployment of next-generation gas sensor technologies with improved performance and reliability.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Sensors is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
