Dear Colleagues,
With the development of sensing technology and modern intelligent systems, telemedicine has become a very hot topic. There have been many related studies on motion tracking. This Special Issue focuses on remote monitoring methods, applications and challenges for mental health and obesity.
Obesity, which refers to excess body fat, is an important factor in causing physical problems, such as diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, chronic pain and osteoarthritis. At the same time, obesity can also lead to psychological problems. For example, it can easily cause people's low self-esteem, anxiety and depression and other mental problems, resulting in sensitive interpersonal relationships. This will affect normal work and life.
On the other hand, psychological problems in modern people are common. Mental health includes aspects of emotional, psychological and social health. In addition to obesity, there are many other physical problems that can cause psychological problems. The COVID-19 pandemic has also led to emotional problems such as sleep disturbances in many people.
Therefore, this Special Issue is dedicated to using sensing technologies to help monitor and relieve the status of obesity and mental health. This includes, but is not limited to, wearable technologies, Smartwatches and Smartphones, Virtual Reality (VR) and E-Health. Applications related to Digital Medicine and Digital Therapeutics (DTx) are also included in this Special Issue
