The next generation of vehicular services and networks will be driven by large volumes of highly dynamic data, often linked to real-time perception, autonomous control and immersive applications. AI and machine learning will intrinsically enable the networks and devices supporting such services to adapt their behavior in the interests of safety, efficiency, and reliability, and to deliver on important service metrics. This Special Issue will look at how AI/ML can deliver improved intelligence to network and service design and operation, and to how it can enhance core technologies.
The objective of this Special Issue is to publish state-of-the-art research that uses advances in AI/ML-enhanced networks and services to support ground- and aerial-based vehicles. Topics of interest include:

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Sensors is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
