Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue, titled "Emerging Drug Candidates and Therapeutic Approaches for Ocular Disorders" extends a warm invitation to researchers and scholars from from various disciplines within the scientific community. We are seeking insightful research contributions that are dedicated to the exploration and validation of novel therapeutic targets and potential drug candidates for a wide spectrum of ocular disorders. The importance of this endeavor cannot be overstated, as eye diseases such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eyes, cataracts, and various others continue to exert a substantial and often debilitating impact on a global scale. Consequently, the development of innovative therapeutic strategies is a pressing need.

Manuscripts submitted for this Special Issue should ideally provide mechanistic insights, demonstrating the efficacy or safety profiles of these newfound therapeutic targets and drug candidates. We welcome a diverse range of contributions, including original research articles that unveil groundbreaking discoveries, reviews that synthesize existing knowledge, clinical studies that validate and refine these therapeutic approaches, and commentaries that offer critical perspectives and insights. Our goal is to advance the field of ophthalmology by fostering a deeper understanding of ocular disorders and by paving the way for more effective and targeted treatment options.
