2010 Nanomaterials is founded. Prof. Dr. Thomas Nann, from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, serves as the founding Editor-in-Chief.
2011 The first issue of Nanomaterials is published.
2013 The number of Editorial Board Members of Nanomaterials increases to 32.
2014 Nanomaterials is indexed by Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE).
2015 Nanomaterials is covered by Scopus. The first impact factor is 2.076. Nanomaterials enters the ranking in the categories “Materials Science, Multidisciplinary” (SCIE) in 82nd position out of 259 (Q2) and “Nanoscience & Nanotechnology” (SCIE), in 41st position out of 79 (Q3).
2016 Nanomaterials becomes a monthly journal. The 2015 impact factor increases to 2.690, and Nanomaterials is ranked 36/83 (Q2) in the category “Nanoscience & Nanotechnology” and 64/271 (Q1) in the category “Materials Science, Multidisciplinary”. Nanomaterials launches its “Travel Awards”. Also, a Twitter account for Nanomaterials is created.
2017 Nanomaterials is covered by PubMed. The impact factor increases to 3.553, and Nanomaterials is ranked 33/87 (Q2) in the category “Nanoscience & Nanotechnology” and 58/275 (Q1) in the category “Materials Science, Multidisciplinary”. The “Outstanding Reviewer Award” is offered.
2018 Nanomaterials impact factor is 3.504. The journal’s 5-Year Impact Factor is 3.811. Nanomaterials is now ranked 71/285 (Q1) in the category “Materials Science, Multidisciplinary” and 39/92 (Q2) in “Nanoscience & Nanotechnology”. The “Young Investigator Award” is offered. Nanomaterials launches its 1st International Online Conference.
2019 Nanomaterials impact factor is 4.034. The journal's 5-Year Impact Factor is 4.358. Nanomaterials now ranks 71/293 (Q1) in the category "Materials Science, Multidisciplinary" and 39/94 (Q2) in the category "Nanoscience & Nanotechnology". The “Outstanding Reviewer Awards” is offered.
2020 The Impact Factor of Nanomaterials is 4.324, and the journal’s 5-Year Impact Factor is 4.514. The total number of publications in Nanomaterials has exceeded 6000. A total of 1448 articles have been cited 10 times or more. Nanomaterials is now ranked 89/314 (Q2) in the category “Materials Science, Multidisciplinary” and 42/103 (Q2) in “Nanoscience & Nanotechnology”. The “Travel Award” and “Young Investigator Award” are offered. Nanomaterials organizes and hosts the 2nd International Online Conference on Nanomaterials and successfully holds its first webinar.
