Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue will publish articles associated with the 5th International Conference on Materials Science, Engineering, and Technology, which is being held on February 26–28, 2024, in Singapore.

We aim to bring together scientists, researchers, engineers, and professionals from all over the world to share their ideas, most advanced developments, findings, and novel scientific and technical knowledge in the field of materials science. The Special Issue of Micromachines will not only serve as a platform to further assist research dissemination but also facilitate the implementation of research into practice.

The conference will be held jointly with Nanomaterials 2024, Energy Materials 2024 and Functional Materials 2024, organized by Materials International Conference and Exhibitions, with the following topics:

  • Additive manufacturing of composite and ceramics;
  • Advanced polymer surfaces from advanced surface treatment to dynamic surfaces to paints;
  • Biomaterials and biodevices;
  • Composites and ceramic materials;
  • Computational materials and modeling;
  • Electronics, magnetics and optical materials;
  • Emerging trends in solution processing of advanced functional nanomaterials for sustainable development;
  • Energy materials and technology;
  • Environmental and green materials;
  • Functional materials and technology;
  • Materials synthesis and processing;
  • Modeling and simulation of material system in all aspects;
  • Nano-ceramics and nano-hybrids for energy, water environment and healthcare.

We cordially invite you to submit your manuscript to this Special Issue. In addition, papers by those who did not attend this meeting are also welcome.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Micromachines is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
