Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to submit your original research manuscripts to our upcoming special issue on "Applications in Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer". The aim of this special issue is to bring together high-quality research papers that focus on the innovative and practical applications of mathematics in the fields of fluid mechanics and heat transfer.  We welcome original research articles, reviews, and case studies that showcase the latest advancements in the fields of applied mathematics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and related areas. Potential topics of interest include, but are not limited to application of mathematics in:

  • fluid mechanics and heat transfer in industrial processes, such as heat exchangers, boilers, and refrigeration systems.
  • phase change heat transfer, including melting, solidification, evaporation, and condensation.
  • multi-phase flow, including the behavior of fluids with different densities and viscosities, and the effects of turbulence and mixing.
  • optimizing the design and operation of energy and power generation systems.
  • numerical methods for solving fluid mechanics and heat transfer problems.
  • experimental studies in fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
  • multiphysics and multiscale modeling of fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

We encourage submissions from researchers, academicians, and professionals who are actively engaged in the development and application of mathematics in fluid mechanics and heat transfer. All submissions will be subjected to a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality and significance of the research work. We look forward to your participation in this special issue.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
