Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) has emerged as a critical technology for managing severe respiratory and cardiac failure. This Special Issue aims to highlight the latest advancements in ECMO technology, including clinical applications, patient outcomes, and future research directions.

The topics covered include novel ECMO circuit designs, ECMO in various clinical scenarios, such as ARDS and cardiogenic shock, hemocompatibility, and anticoagulation strategies, ECMO in pediatric and neonatal populations, the lessons learned from ECMO use in COVID-19 patients, ECMO as a bridge to transplantation, ECMO in trauma and ECPR, the management of neurological complications in ECMO patients, and the long-term outcomes of ECMO survivors.

Authors are encouraged to submit original research articles, reviews, and clinical studies related to ECMO. Submissions will undergo rigorous peer review, adhering to the journal's formatting guidelines.

We invite contributions from researchers, clinicians, and experts in ECMO to share insights and advancements, ultimately aiming to improve patient outcomes and expand the applications of this life-saving technology.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Journal of Personalized Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs).
