Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the launch of a Special Issue about a hot topic in vascular surgery. There is continuous evolution of vascular surgery techniques. Endovascular therapy is now considered the gold standard for treating most vascular diseases, but open surgery is still practised; in different districts, guidelines suggest an open approach, but it is also a tool for the treatment of complications of endovascular therapy, especially in younger people.
In recent years, artificial intelligence, 3D stamping, volumetric analysis, engineering studies of the vascular walls and endograft and their relationship, 3D navigation technology, automation in aortic care, and robotic surgery have become more and more useful in planning and performing complex surgery in both endo and open cases.
Another critical point is the emergent setting of vascular diseases such as traumas, acute thrombosis, and aneurysm ruptures. It is valuable and exciting to share the different protocols and clinical and surgical approaches to these scenarios.
The purpose of this Special Issue is to gather not only opinions and experiences about the current approaches to the different vascular diseases but also future perspectives on the clinical, biochemical, and surgical approach to the vascular patient.
We welcome you to submit your research articles as opinions, original research articles, and reviews.
