Travel Award

Dear Colleagues,

As Editor-in-Chief of JMSE, I am pleased to announce the winners of the JMSE 2024 Travel Award. The award has been granted to Mr. Jayasekara R. Jayasekara, a PhD student at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Louisiana State University, USA, who will attend the 10th Young Coastal Scientists and Engineers Conference, held on 4–6 June 2024 in Canada; and Mr. Thein Than Tun, a PhD candidate at the School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand, who will attend the 43rd International Conference on Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering, held on 9–14 June 2024 in Singapore.

As the awardees, they will each receive an honorarium of CHF 800 and an electronic certificate.

With so many high-quality applicants, the evaluation process and final decision were challenging. We would like to thank all the applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics. On behalf of the assessment committee, I congratulate the winners on their accomplishments.
