Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The purpose of this Special Issue of Informatics is to attract and publish high-quality research on emerging technologies (such as big data analytics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital-based technologies, etc.) to the development of business informatics—those which are targeting accounting, finance, marketing, and information systems. We use the term “Business Informatics” to refer to the concerns for the development of business world in the context of emerging technologies and informatics. This includes interdisciplinary research, such as Intelligent Accounting, Fintech, Smart Marketing, and Management Information Systems.

We welcome work that contributes to this SI. Papers should address the core theme of emerging technologies in relation to business informatics and potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Digital informatics to build accounting ecosystem.
  • The influence of emerging technologies on informatics transformation of accounting system.
  • Business analytics and finance.
  • Emerging technologies and financial informatics.
  • Emerging technology-related informatics in marketing.
  • Smart marketing and its relevant emerging technologies.
  • Technology-oriented data analytics in management information systems.
  • Data security and privacy issues in decision support systems.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Informatics is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
