Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The first step in successful injury prevention in sports is having reliable epidemiological data regarding injury incidence and prevalence. In this Special Issue, we will address different epidemiological methods to study the occurrence, distribution, and determinants of injuries among athletes. This includes analyzing data on the frequency and severity of injuries, identifying risk factors for these conditions, and developing evidence-based interventions to prevent or reduce their occurrence and improve the overall health and well-being of athletes. We will focus on different intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors and injury mechanisms in sport- and exercise-related musculoskeletal injuries in different populations: top-level athletes, recreational athletes, adolescent and students, military personnel, etc. We kindly invite you to submit your original research articles or reviews on the latest research work in these areas.
