Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Today's society has developed an educational system that seeks the promotion of health as a basic pillar of teaching, echoing the World Health Organization (WHO, 2022) that physical activity can contribute to the prevention of non-communicable diseases, especially diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. We find ourselves in a world where sedentary behaviors, a lack of physical activity, and nutritional problems are habits that come with various problems, such as such as obesity or hypertension, as well as psychological problems, including anxiety and depression. These problems are born from the earliest ages and are maintained over the years if actions are not carried out to modify them. In educational centers, through extracurricular activities and physical education, we must work together to innovate and adapt to change, seeking the promotion of health in the present and especially in the future of the youngest. Society and the world in general can benefit from a methodological change that makes it possible to improve the physical and mental health of children and adolescents who are the present and future of society. Papers addressing these topics are invited for this Special Issue, especially intervention or descriptive articles in relation to physical education and health, as well as systematic reviews or meta-analyses in the field of health
