Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Hepatic cirrhosis represents significant pathological changes in the architecture and function of the liver that may lead to devastating complications. Whatever the etiology, a cirrhotic liver gradually deteriorates a patient's physical health and affects general wellbeing as well as quality of life.

In this Special Issue, we aim to provide a viewpoint of the difficulties that cirrhotic patients encounter, with a focus on improving patients' care. We wish to address both morbidity of the liver and the patient as a whole, as well as provide an overview of the dynamic challenges across various settings.

We invite submissions that investigate strategies for managing compensated and decompensated cirrhosis, specifically preserving liver function, halting disease progression, and optimizing patient outcomes, focusing on complications' prevention, management, and reversibility.

We welcome scholarly contributions that explore interconnected care issues in cirrhosis, including psychosocial impact, fertility, and nutrition considerations that play vital roles in patient care. Moreover, we value submissions that explore the complexities of cirrhosis care within special populations, such as during pregnancy, those of advanced age, patients with comorbidities, and individuals requiring palliative care.

We sincerely appreciate your consideration of this invitation and eagerly await your contribution.
