Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are inviting submissions to a new Special Issue of Electronics, entitled "New Topologies of DC–DC Converters in Power Systems”. With the large-scale integration of renewable energy sources (RESs), such as wind power and photovoltaics in the power system, as well as the rapid development of DC loads such as electric vehicles and data centers, there are increasing numbers of DC systems or links in the power system. DC/DC converters are crucial equipment for power interconnection and voltage transformation in the DC sections of the power system, especially in systems such as offshore wind power systems, all-DC systems, DC distribution networks, energy storage systems, electric vehicles, DC microgrids, etc., where new DC/DC application scenarios and technologies are rapidly developing.

This Special Issue will include recent developments regarding the topology, control, operation, protection, and application of DC/DC converters in the power system. Topics of interest for this publication include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Topology, control, operation, and protection of DC/DC converters;
  • Power semiconductors and components for DC/DC converters;
  • Operation and control of power systems, including DC/DC converters;
  • Multi-port DC/DC conversion systems;
  • High-efficiency high-power-density DC/DC design technology;
  • DC/DC converters for HVDC applications;
  • DC/DC converters for distribution network applications;
  • DC/DC converters for microgrid applications;
  • Simulation and testing methods;
  • Other advanced technologies in this area.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
