Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The eruption of artificial intelligence is changing the world in ways we never thought about. Those changes, inevitably, will be integrated into medical science and, subsequently, thoracic surgery. We have faced the implementation of new technologies, such as videothoracoscopy and robotics, witnessing the rise in new therapies for lung cancer. An emerging challenge will be to rapidly adopt big data analysis, machine learning and artificial intelligence in order to improve thoracic surgery practice. Our wholehearted belief is that the use of artificial intelligence in a comprehensive and ethical manner will allow us to provide personalized and better care to patients. We encourage researchers to submit and share their expertise on AI applications for thoracic surgery.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Current Oncology is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
