Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Avian hepatitis refers to a group of viral diseases that affect the liver of birds. These diseases are caused by different viruses, such as avian hepatitis E virus, fowl adenovirus, duck hepatitis A virus, and duck hepatitis B virus. These viruses can cause disease in a variety of bird species, including chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys. Avian hepatitis increases poultry mortality and decreases egg production, leading to huge economic losses worldwide.

This special issue focuses on advances in viral biology, immunogenicity, diagnosis, and vaccines of avian hepatitis viruses, fowl adenovirus, duck hepatitis A virus, and duck hepatitis B virus or specific aspects of farming systems that prevent the introduction of hepatitis virus into poultry flocks. We invite original research articles, case studies, and reviews in the fields of pathology, vaccinology, epidemiology, and feeding management to add new scientific knowledge to these topics.
