Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear Author,

Single-author review is a rare thing today. However, you were able to write fairly high-quality work. I read the manuscript with great interest.

However, I would like to note the following remarks:

(1)    A significant part of the sources in the references are articles older than 2021. In other words, there are no articles published in 2022 and 2023. In my opinion, it may be worth expanding.

(2)    Most of the articles are articles from IEEE community journals. Almost no other sources are presented.

(3)    Most of the articles in the review are about 3D printing with plastic followed by the application of conductive elements. Whereas in recent years, 3D printing with ceramic materials with interesting dielectric properties or shapes has been developing very actively. Pleas see for example https://doi.org/10.1016/j.addma.2023.103827 and https://doi.org/10.1111/jace.19597

(4)    Now there are a lot of articles about 3D printing with magnetic materials with outstanding properties (ferrites, hexaferrites) https://doi.org/10.1016/j.mtcomm.2020.101520, https://doi.org/10.1109/TMAG.2019.2963184 This type of works (and materials) also did not find a place in this review.

Nevertheless, I consider it possible to publish this review after minor revision.

Sincerely,

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This review is well organized and written. Also, it concludes the state-of-the-art work regarding additively manufactured antennas and electromagnetic devices. Therefore, I do recommend this paper to be published as it is.

Author Response

I am truly grateful to the reviewer for its positive evaluation and recommendation.

Round 2

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The author has responded thoroughly to all requests. Although he hasn't introduced additional parameters beyond the frequency range, he justified this choice. My further suggestion is to explicitly state in the introduction why he decided to use only the frequency range as a parameter and not all the other typical parameters of antennas.

The article, after this round of review, is ready for publication.

Author Response

I would like to thank the reviewer for its positive comment and for its advice.
The final part of the paper has been changed to address the reviewer's request.
The modified part is the following:

"In this study, a comprehensive review of the current advancements in utilizing AM for the development of antennas and EM devices is provided. The literature is systematically categorized based on the specific 3D printing technologies employed for device fabrication. Additionally, a succinct overview of each technology is given, delineating its principal advantages and limitations. This approach is deemed paramount for facilitating a thorough comprehension of the distinctions and potentials inherent in each method. Consequently, in order to offer readers a broad perspective on the potential applications of AM in EM, concise details on the type of device produced, the technique utilized, and the frequency of operation are provided in the summary tables included within the paper."
