The subject of research in the article is interesting, up-to-date, and easy to read. The authors chose a suitable methodology of the experiments. The results from the experiments are sufficiently described. I have these comments:

-          Page 2, sentence 85, it is better to use millimeters instead of cm.

-          Page 7, Fig. 5b and Fig. 5d - the coating is not clearly visible in these figures

- Is it possible to adjust the font size on the axes in figure 6 to 17? These are the images on the left. The numerical data on the axes overlap.

The manuscript is on effect of coating thickness on wear behavior of NiP-NiTi coatings. Manuscript is well written, and results are interesting. However, some modifications are needed before publication. Below are my comments.

 

1. What was the size of the nano particles? Provide source of such particles. What was NiTi phase fraction in composite after deposition? It is better to show the NiTi phase in a cross-section SEM microstructure and also their distribution in the microstructure.

2. In results section, authors talk about XRD pattern, but no pattern is shown in manuscript. Show the XRD pattern in manuscript.

3. In Table 2 EDS analysis, is composition is in at% or wt%?

4. In Figure 1, what is scale of depth in X-axis?

5. In Table 5, provide references of hardness and modulus for Typical Ni-P, Typical NiTi.
