Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Author,

I’ve examined your work with attention. It deals with the both nationally and internationally important issue and presents some novel and useful insights. I also agree that such a contribution should be subjective and flexible to certain degree (so, I agree this may be potentially good Perspective). Nonetheless, the organization of your writing needs serious improvements, and many literature additions are necessary.

1)      Principal concern: the paper is organized in a peculiar way. I recommend to re-organize (and to re-write it totally). After Introduction, please, gather the general knowledge (the section can be titled Conceptual Frame). Then, explain briefly the logic of your analysis (Methodological Remarks). Then, present your interpretations, which should follow exactly the methodological explanations (Results). Then, tell what do your interpretations mean in general and how these may help to improve the situation (Discussion). Only Introduction and Conclusions are placed ok.

2)      Title: please, change dot (.) to :

3)      Abstract: please, focus it more on your findings.

4)      Key words: please, avoid the words already used in the title.

5)      Introduction: start a new paragraph before “Greece” on Line 39.

6)      Introduction: after formulation of your objective, please, explain briefly why this contribution is “Perspective”. The readers need to realize well that this is not a regular research article.

7)      Lines 72-73: please, add citations. Please, check the other similar phrases, which require the citation support.

8)      I feel that the section 3 mixes the general knowledge with the implications for Greece. Please, organize this part more logically.

9)      Sections 4-9: sorry, but the readers will easily loose the logic of the storytelling. I understand that you wish to make your paper convincing, but you have to organize it better. Again, the general knowledge is mixed with the interpretations and opinions related to Greece. I see both too lengthy sections and too short sections, which make the paper unbalanced.

10)  Your proposals can be moved to Discussion where they should be related to what is known from the world’s experience.

11)  Conclusions: please, formulate three principal findings and indicate the agenda for the further research.

12)  The text requires linguistic polishing (somewhere heavy). The help of any English native speaking colleague is desirable.

13)  References: the paper is lengthy and ambitious, and, thus, much more literature sources should be cited.

14)  Illustrations: check that they are large enough to see all details.

Please, note that the COMPLETE re-working of your manuscript is expected.

The text requires linguistic polishing (somewhere heavy). The help of any English native speaking colleague is desirable.

Dear Author,

Your compilation is quite intriguing as a title. However, when compiling, the detailed impacts of all factors on the field of study should be provided. The most significant deficiency I noticed in the compilation is the lack of extensive information on how small-scale livestock farming, especially goat farming, and the resulting animal products are affected by global warming in a country like Greece, such as Greece. Additionally, I believe there should be ample information regarding how grazing areas, which constitute a significant portion of the rangelands, are affected by global warming.

Best regards.

Reviewer 3 Report

Dear Author,

In the Abstract section of the Manuscript, the purpose of the study, the model or method used and the result should be emphasized. The purpose of the study must be stated at the end of the introduction section of this Manuscript. This study is a compilation. It is a study about the effects of climate data on crop and animal production and possible scenarios in the future. In this respect, it is an important study in terms of guiding new policies to be implemented in Greece according to climate change scenarios. Plant-based evaluations of the study may serve as an example for future studies.  In the Conclusions section, the results of the study are clearly emphasized and suggestions are made. There are minor corrections to the text. I have uploaded the corrected text from the system and am sending it to you. In short, this study can be published in this journal after minor corrections are made.

Reviewer 4 Report

The research represents a comprehensive reading of the agricultural situation in Greece, taking into account that the Author  has developed clear strategies to deal with climate change, and despite the research's lack of a quantitative analysis that shows the climatic effects on the economy, especially the agricultural economy, the researcher's handling of the subject was successful and thus came out with a set of results through which it is possible to assess the reality of the agricultural sector in Greece, especially since the researcher dealt with the impact of climate change on the most important crops that are grown or famous for in Greece, but one of the most important comments that I record here is the need to summarize the results of climate change on the agricultural economy in Greece through a comprehensive table that includes Climate impacts on crops and within the regions surveyed.

Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Author,

thanks for revising of the manuscript and responses! The manuscript looks better now. I have some additional suggestions:

1)      Section 4 can be titled “Material and Method”, and it should be written in more narrative style. Please, explain the basis for all assumptions listed there. You have to explain there how your nice colourful tables from the section 5 are constructed.

2)      Section 5 can be titled “Results”.

3)      Table 6: why you write “No change. No change”?

4)      Section 7 can be titled “Conclusions and Proposals”.

5)      I feel that some of your proposals can be linked to the improvement in the higher education.
