Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This article reviewed the process of preparing titania nanotubes by electrochemical anodization and the applications of titania nanotubes. The review was well researched, informative and logical. However, there are some issues with this paper and the authors are advised to revise it.

1.     A separate section should be devoted to the advantages of titania nanotubes compared to other morphologies.

2.     The fifth paragraph of the Introduction talks about the advantages of titanium, but it is not clear how this section contributes to the review.

3.     It is suggested that some SEM images of titania nanotubes could be cited.

4.     There are spelling errors in this article, e.g. titania is spelt as tiatnia.

Reviewer 2 Report

Atiq Ur Rehman and co-authors proposed a review on the Fabrication and applications of Titania Nanotubes Obtained Via Electrochemical Anodization. This review paper could be useful after clarifying the following points:

1.    The English language should be significantly improved. There are several grammatical and typo mistakes that must be corrected.

2.    The authors should add the keywords.

3.    Reference 1 should be replaced by another appropriate reference that would be a review on nanomaterials in general.

4.    I recommend the authors to add table in which they summarize the benefits and the drawbacks of each synthesis process mentioned in the text.

5.    The crystal structure, the microstructure as well as the mechanical properties of TNTs should be also provided and discussed.

6.  The applications of TNTs in  water purification should be expanded.

7.   The references should be checked and replaced with up to date references.
