In submitting conference proceedings to Proceedings, the volume editors of the proceedings certify to the publisher that all papers published in this volume have been subjected to peer review administered by the volume editors. Reviews were conducted by expert referees relative to the professional and scientific standards expected of a proceedings journal:
  • Type of peer review: double-blind;
  • Conference submission management system: digital Common (DC) https://scholarhub.ui.ac.id/icveast/;
  • Number of submissions sent for review: 81;
  • Number of submissions accepted: 77;
  • Number of submissions published: 71;
  • Acceptance rate (number of submissions accepted/number of submissions received): 0.95;
  • Average number of reviews per paper: 2;
  • Total number of reviewers involved: 13;
  • Any additional information on the review process:
    • Participants will receive the result of the review. Types of decisions: Decline, Resubmit, Revision, and Accept:
      • Decline: Following peer review, the paper is judged not to be acceptable for ICVEAST;
      • Resubmit: The submitted version of the paper is not acceptable and requires major revision, but there is clear potential in the paper, and ICVEAST is prepared to consider a new version. Authors are offered the opportunity to resubmit their paper as a new submission. Concerns will remain regarding the suitability of the paper for publication until the editors are convinced by the authors that their paper fits the scope and standards of ICVEAST. The resubmitted manuscript will be returned to the editor if at all possible.
      • Revision: The paper requires changes before a final decision can be made. Authors are asked to modify their manuscript in light of comments received from referees and editors and to submit a new version for consideration within 1 week of receiving the decision letter. A point-by-point explanation of how comments have been addressed must be supplied with the revised version of the paper. Revisions may undergo further peer review, and papers may undergo more than one round of revision. If the authors do not revise their papers to the satisfaction of the editors, the paper can still be declined from publication in ICVEAST.
      • Final Accept: The paper is acceptable for publication, subject to conditions that need to be addressed in producing a final version of the manuscript. These may include sub-editing changes and minor amendments to ensure the paper fully matches our criteria. After final checking in the editorial office, acceptance is confirmed, and the paper is forwarded to the publishers for publication.
    • Submit the full paper only if the committee has officially accepted your abstract. Presentation category:
      • Abstract/Full Paper Presentation (in-person);
        You are required to give an oral presentation of 10 min (maximum) plus 5 min for discussion where other participants may ask you questions regarding your submission and research. You can either use Presentation Slides or whichever is more convenient for you. For the oral presentation, we request you to bring it on your own USB/memory stick kindly.
      • Online/Virtual Presentation (live online presentation via Zoom).
        The Virtual Presentation program is carefully designed for those who are unable to attend the conference in person due to schedule conflicts, teaching/research load, long flights to the conference location, visa issues, or budget constraints but wish to participate with their research in this significant international event.
        You are still required to submit an abstract, and one author must pay the registration fee. At the end of the conference, you will receive a certificate of presentation and a digital book of abstracts.
        To ensure the success of your virtual presentation, please follow the guidelines below:
        • Fifteen minutes before the presentation, be online and available;
        • We’ll send a call for a meeting with an embedded video connection. The meeting ID and password are available;
        • Check your camera and audio input, Internet connection, and PPT/Slides before you enter a conference call and share your computer;
        • Have a non-distracting environment around you during the presentation.
    • All participants who have finished the presentation will submit a full paper, which will be published in Proceedings.
