Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors demonstrated a monolithic integrated electro-optic intensity and phase LNOI-generated flat optical frequency comb. A packaged device is demonstrated. The resulting OFC had 13 comb teeth and a power flatness of 2.4 dB. The authors assert that by raising the strength of the radio-frequency signal, the device performance can be improved beyond 20.

The work presented in this work is interesting and I recommend its publication. Some minor comments:

1- Can the authors explain the reason why the power flatness is limited to 2.4dB?  Can they show the response for other than 5GHz spacing?

2- Extending the comb to 20 would result in a power flatness penalty and higher insertion losses, what is the expected performance.
