All all missing punctuation behind formulas (or in formula complexes). We do not write   max    min  argmin   (etc.)  in italics. We do not write fractal terms (ratios) inside of a text body vertically - as this spreads lines too much. Instead, inside of a text bodies we use the  ... / ...  style. In your revision: no . when then a formula follows but a :, please, Please no blanks in front of punctuation. Do not write, e.g.,   "in the following Figure:"    You must always address a figure or table by its "name", i.e., as  Figure number   or    Table  number. Do not begin a sentence with an (even mini) formula; there must always be words first. Please have a stronger Outlook part in the last section with some valuable mathematical ideas. Think of further uncertainty modelling, etc. Let 3 expert careful check your next revised version, also its formulas. See works of Erik Kropat, Ayse Ozmen, Emel Savku, Nuno Azevedo, Busra Temocin, G.-W. Weber, Sankar Kumar Roy, Hacer Oz, etc. See also works of Sureyya (Ozogur) Akyuz on SVMs with sliding windows, and Efsun Kurum on bubble detection and signaling.

This paper combines the ACE and CA methods to deal with the problems of nonstationarity and nonlinearity in process monitoring. I think the paper is well written and the contribution is good enough. I only have the following minor comments:

-In line 117, change 'no' to 'not'.

-In the last paragraph of Section 1, increase each number by one.

-Why there is no comma/dot at the end of most equations?! Fix this.

-In line 166, in i=1,2,...,i , the first i should be t, no?

-In line 188 fix Ut.

-In line 212, change 'iteration' to 'iterative'.

-In line 238, put  'a/the' before 'traditional'.

-In line 242, change 'propose' to 'purpose'.

-In line 345, write the figure number.

Round 2

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper improved.   Though I always recommend authors to write a letter to the referees rather than show MS Word Corrector mode.

The authors should carefully go through the previous reviews and do the needful.

Some blanks are still missing.

The authors may prefer a broader mathematical view at the end  (discussions and outlook) - including stochastic differential equations with jumps and regime switching and other forms of uncertainty modeling. I recommend the authors to make an inquiry. Some authors, names which could help them (and they will find easily and can pick from) are Erik Kropat (robust regression), Ayse Ozmen (robust models and dynamics), Emel Savku (stochastic control and games) or Sureyya Ozogur Akyuz (SVMs, IKL).

Then the paper could be acceptable.
