The article submitted for review entitled Teaching Staff and Student Perceptions of Staff Support for Student Mental Health: A University Case Study is an interesting and well-written study on the support from university staff for students with mental health problems. This problem is nowadays pivotal, and the conducted studies provide suggestions on how to address it and improve the support given to students with mental health problems.

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear Authors,

Congratulations on the interesting research topic and the research that you have conducted. However, there are some suggestions that I would like to make in order to improve the quality of your article:

  • 2. Materials and methods:
  • the interview questions could be included in the article as an Annex
  • demographics: give explanations why you consider the sample to be relevant for the research
  • increase the number of participants, although you have mentioned it as a limitation, I still consider the interviewed persons are too few, it could be enough if you provided a sound explanation regarding the relevance of the sample.
  • Bibliography/References : Please check the referencing system used by the journal, and arrange/write the list accordingly.

Good luck!

Thank you for your helpful comments.

A spell check has been done.

The interview questions have been included in the article as an Annex.

Demographics: p.5 offers an explanation as to why the sample is considered to be relevant for the research justifying the low number of respondents, especially students, as sufficient.

The referencing system used by the journal has been re-arranged accordingly. However, I am unclear as to what you refer specifically. I have ensured the numbering is correct., italics for the journals, ensured the year date is at the end, removed 'accessed date' and the links to articles.
