Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I have read with interest this mansucript dealing with offering an alternative annealing condition for an aluminium alloy EN AW 8006.

The paper is well estructured and can be easily followed. However, i recommend to bear in mind following aspects:

a) Introduction is somehow large and reiterative. I recommend to shorten it

b) In the conclusion section, the first paragraph should be removed as sich text is not a conclusion

Minor corrections:

line 32: change "foil ban be produced" by "foil can be produced"

line 37. Check if "100 mm" is correct

line 111: change "In Mn is present..." by "If Mn is present..."

Author Response

  1. The Introduction was slightly shorten, whereas all is marked in the Word document.
  2. In the conclusion section the first paragraph was deleted.
  3. Line 32: the type mistake was corrected.
  4. Line 37: thank you for seeing the type mistake. I have corrected it.
  5. Line 111: the type mistake was corrected.

Reviewer 2 Report

The article contains some misstyping, such as line 32: "ban be produced". Please revise the whole paper. Additionally the text contains few not an expressive word, such as line 22 instead of "light microscope (OM)" use "optical microscope", or in line 31 instead of "...", please use "etc.". The revision of text according to these is suggested.

The Materials and Methods said: "Samples for heat treatment investigations were cut from the middle of the front surface of the slab" and "cooled in air in order to simulate industrial conditions". Please describe the slab, and the dimensions of that, that the readers can evaluate these conditions and the relevance of the mentioned simulation of their work.

The thick labels of Figure 2 are small, pleas increase it to the size similar in Figure 3. but the size of the Legends of Figure 3 are also small. Please increase these.

Author Response

  1. The misstypings were corrected and are marked in the manuscript.
  2. The slab dimensions were put in the manuscript.
  3. The thick labels in Figure 2 were increased.
  4. The legend labels in Figure 3 were increased.
