Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This article entitle:" Photosynthesis, yield and quality in wild rocket (Diplotaxis tenuifolia L.) under photoluminescent greenhouse covers" is a nice work, but it need some minor improvements that need to be addressed. The comments is in the attached file

I found your paper very interesting, that could be helpful for the futute improvement of greenhouse coverings properties, with the am to improve yield and quality of grown species.

The main point for the revision are figures and tables titles. I find them too long, contanining informations that are mentioned in the article text, and some informations that should pa mentioned as a table or figure legend, respectively. Titles should be brief and informative for readers.

Reviewer 3 Report

The manuscript „Photosynthesis, yield and quality in wild rocket (Diplotaxis tenuifolia L.) under photoluminescent greenhouse covers“ is clear, relevant to the field, and presented in a well-structured manner. The manuscript is scientifically sound.

I suggest the following:

I suggest that you use capital letters in the title:

"Photosynthesis, Yield, and Quality of Wild Rocket (Diplotaxis tenuifolia L.) under Photoluminescent Greenhouse Covers

References cited are relevant to the article, and one-third of all citations are publications from the last 5 year.

1. Introduction

Why are some parts of the text in bold?

2. Materials and Methods

For better reproducibility, it would be of great benefit if the authors would support their experimental work with photographs at each stage of the experiment. So far, only picture 1 has been published. If they have photographs of each phase of the work, these should be published as Supplementary Materials.

3. Results

The results are well ordered, just pay attention to the subsections:

3.2.1 Transfer of light spectrum

3.2.1 Transfer of light intensity

should be written:

3.2.2. Transfer of light intensity

Figure 4. marketable yield (in kg per m2) - it should be written marketable yield (in kg per m2)

Table 3. ABTS antioxidant activity (ABTS)… - edit the title of the table should be written: Antioxidant activity (ABTS)…

4. Discussion

The authors of this article are a team that deals with the conditions of growing plants in greenhouses. The authors clearly emphasize this in the Introduction and refer to their previous research. Given the authors' wealth of knowledge on the subject, I suggest refining the Discussion. In particular, please include the results listed in Tables 1-5 and Figures 1-8 in the Discussion. In the Discussion, you only referred to Table 5 and Figure 8.

Line 537 citation of references [43,44,22] would be better [22,43,44]

The Conclusion and References are well written.
