The study entitled “Determination of hyaluronic acid dermal filler impurities using SEM/EDS analysis” is very innovative and interesting. The authors presented a new approach for characterising the impurities in hyaluronan. I did not found a similar study on this topic in the literature. From a methodological point of view, I have no objections to the research presented in the manuscript. I also agree with the discussion of the results. It is logical and well supported by reliable results. However there two minor issues, which should be corrected:

(I) I suggest to improve the quality of graphics in case of Figure 8-12, which is very low.

(II) In my opinion the conclusions part should be extended. I suggest to write about some potential applications of the studied approach in terms of quality control.

Response: Thank you for your kind comments. The size of the numbers in the picture has been edited appropriately We increase the resolution of Figures 8-12 and enlarge them for better readability.

 

(II) In my opinion the conclusions part should be extended. I suggest to write about some potential applications of the studied approach in terms of quality control.
