Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

-Literature survey should focus on existing soybean processing techniques and the bi-products that are currently reused rather than discarded. Discuss them.

-Literature gap is not stated.

-Objective should be discussed briefly.

-Draw figs correctly. Each text should be inside the box.

-Give proper citations for the reference.

-Mention the testing standards for each test.

-Discuss about the reason for the property change for every sample.

-Where are the ANOVA results and tables?

-Provide convergence of the result with previous research.

-Add some future scope. How can your work be extended?

Author Response

In response to Reviewer 1:

All suggestions were taken into account and proper corrections were made:

-Literature survey should focus on existing soybean processing techniques and the bi-products that are currently reused rather than discarded. Discuss them. – Appropriate paragraph was added into section 1 - Introduction.

-Literature gap is not stated. – Appropriate paragraph was added into section 1 - Introduction.

-Objective should be discussed briefly. – The aim of the conducted research was shortened.

-Draw figs correctly. Each text should be inside the box. – Diagrams were corrected and proper photographs were added.

-Give proper citations for the reference. – All references in the text were recited following the publisher instruction.

-Mention the testing standards for each test. – Testing standard and references were cited for each test.

-Discuss about the reason for the property change for every sample. – Explanations were added in sections 3 and 4.

-Where are the ANOVA results and tables? – A one-way variance analysis ANOVA was used as the first step for statistical analysis. The second step was performing Tukey’s method to compare results, therefore ANOVA data were not presented.

-Provide convergence of the result with previous research. – This part is discussed in section 4 – Discussion.

-Add some future scope. How can your work be extended? – Appropriate paragraph was added into section 5 – Conclusions.

Reviewer 2 Report

- Rewrite the abstract.

- The authors mentioned: Presented technology solves problem with okara utilization - What are the problems with okara utilization? The problems were not listed. Also, explanation is required for how the problems were solved.

- Please rewrite the first sentence of the introduction as:

Agriculture is undeniably one of the most important branches related to human activity, due to ensuring global food security.

- Do a careful language editing.

- Table 1. General composition of okara [21,24,27]. - Have you tested the composition? If not, please do it. If yes, compare your composition with the reference values. You cannot just take the values from the literature. You mentioned three references for the composition. Are the values are average values? Explain.

-  The research gap and novelty of your work should be highlighted.

- Add an image of soybeans in section 2.1.

- Please include the process diagrams or photographs for the processing techniques. The main contribution of your work is to develop soybean processing that does not generate waste. A flow chart is not enough. A detailed explanation is required with adequate pictures.

- What are the difficulties faced during the experiment?

- For all the tests include the standards. Otherwise do the tests as per standards.

- What would be the limitations if the proposed technology is commercialized?

- Have you carried out any economic analysis to verify the economic viability of the proposed technology? If not, do and include it.

- What is the future scope of your work? Include in the conclusions section.

- Check the numbering of references and citations.

Minor editing of English language is required.

All suggestions were taken into account and proper corrections were made:

- Rewrite the abstract. Abstract was corrected.

Done.

- Do a careful language editing. Done.

- Table 1. General composition of okara [21,24,27]. - Have you tested the composition? If not, please do it. If yes, compare your composition with the reference values. You cannot just take the values from the literature. You mentioned three references for the composition. Are the values are average values? Explain. Selected compounds of okara were determined (protein, fat, water). Results are presented in Table 2 and the results were compared with the reference values in section 4 – Discussion. Values in Table 1 are presented as a range on the basis of references and proper explanation was added.

- The research gap and novelty of your work should be highlighted. Appropriate paragraph was added into section 1 - Introduction.

- Add an image of soybeans in section 2.1. Soybean photograth was added in scheme in figure 1.

- Please include the process diagrams or photographs for the processing techniques. The main contribution of your work is to develop soybean processing that does not generate waste. A flow chart is not enough. A detailed explanation is required with adequate pictures. Technological diagrams were corrected and proper photographs were added.

- What are the difficulties faced during the experiment? “First trials were not accepted by the sensory panel due to the texture of soy cheese (data not included). This caused a modification of the technology and introduced the second grinding.” This explanation was added in section with conclusions

- For all the tests include the standards. Otherwise do the tests as per standards. Testing standard and references were cited for each test.

- What would be the limitations if the proposed technology is commercialized? Limitation is a moisture content and particle size of okara and fund for transport of okara. This explanation was added in section 5- conclusions

- Have you carried out any economic analysis to verify the economic viability of the proposed technology? If not, do and include it. An economic analysis was done and a paragraph was added in section 5 – Conclusion. The research is a part of project named Innovation Incubator 4.0, grant number 7/1/2021, where the technology was analyzed by economy specialists and the economic viabiality conlusions done by experts was added in the paper.

- What is the future scope of your work? Include in the conclusions section. A paragraph about future scope was added in section 5 – Conclusion.

- Check the numbering of references and citations. – All references in the text were recited following the publisher instruction.

Minor editing of English language is required. The paper was checked and corrected by a native speaker.

Reviewer 3 Report

The research provide a noval and interesting direction in agricultural waste processing to meet the increasingly strict environmental policy. it is overall a well prepared manuscript and present the results and discussion clear and easy to understand. There are a few editorial comments need to be addressed prior to publication:

line 130: "obtain" should be "obtained"

Line 216: "characterized" should be "characterize"

Line 247: "they amount in the range..." changed to "their amount were in the range... "

The grammar of the sentense in line 248-249 is not correct and hard to understand.

Line 276: "can be fed animals..." change to "can be used to feed animals".

Line 282: "in presented study was in..." change to "in present study is in...".
