Machine learning (ML) techniques have rapidly advanced, offering new possibilities for water resources management. ML algorithms are increasingly applied to various aspects of this field, such as water quantity and quality prediction, flood forecasting, drought monitoring, groundwater management, and water infrastructure optimization. These applications hold the potential to revolutionize our understanding and management of water resources.
This Special Issue aims to explore the application of ML in water resources management. We invite original research, review articles, and case studies showcasing innovative ML applications in addressing water resources challenges. Topics of interest include the development of novel ML algorithms for water resources management, the integration of ML with hydrological models, data-driven approaches for water resources assessment, and the use of remote sensing data with ML for water resources monitoring, etc.
Researchers and practitioners from diverse disciplines are encouraged to contribute to this Special Issue. We believe that this collection of articles will not only highlight the latest advancements in ML applications in water resources management but also provide valuable insights for future research and practice in this field.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Water is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
