Global Vaccination Strategy in Future Crisis Response: Communication, Media and Misinformation

We are excited to announce a Special Issue of the Vaccines journal, entitled "Global Vaccination Strategy in Future Crisis Response: Communication, Media, and Misinformation". We cordially invite you to contribute your valuable research to this important and timely topic. 

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the critical role of effective communication, media, and the management of misinformation in shaping global vaccination strategies during crisis situations. As we anticipate and prepare for future challenges, it becomes crucial to delve deeper into these aspects to improve response and mitigate the impact of misinformation. 

This Special Issue aims to gather cutting-edge research and insights from experts across various disciplines. We welcome submissions that explore (but are not limited to) the following themes: 

• Vaccination strategies in crisis situations: analysis and evaluation of past, current, and potential future vaccination strategies deployed during global crises.
• Communication strategies for successful vaccination campaigns: understanding the role of communication in promoting vaccine uptake, addressing vaccine hesitancy, and countering misinformation.
• Media influence and impact on vaccination: examining the influence of traditional and social media on public perceptions, vaccine acceptance, and the spread of misinformation.
• Misinformation management and debunking strategies: assessing approaches to effectively identify, debunk, and address vaccine-related misinformation during crises.
• Technology and innovation in vaccination communication: exploring the role of digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and other innovative tools in enhancing vaccination communication strategies. 

We encourage original research articles, reviews, perspectives, and case studies that contribute novel insights and practical recommendations. Submissions should align with the aims and scope of the Vaccines journal.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
