Clinical Immunology
A section of Vaccines (ISSN 2076-393X).
Section Information
Aims and Scope
Chronic immune mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) comprise a wide spectrum of disorders, which can share risk factors and immonopathogenetic mechanisms and thus benefit from similar therapeutic approaches. Immunopathogenesis of IMIDs may originate and resemble an aberrant immune response to micro-organisms. Therefore, research on IMIDs, defence mechanisms to pathogens and immunity to vaccines may add each other. This section of the Journal welcomes manuscripts on IMIDs from several perspectives, including epidemiology, pathogenesis, animal models, clinical manifestations, disease association, and treatment. Studies on the relationships between IMIDs and infectious disease as well as on side effects of vaccines are also encouraged.
