Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The recent adoption of LISA by the European Space Agency, together with advancements in third-generation detectors such as the Einstein Telescope in Europe and Cosmic Explorer in the US, and possibly rapid progress regarding a similar Chinese space mission, present an intriguing opportunity to discuss possible synergies in terms of both data analysis and scientific exploitation. With this Special Issue, we would like to cover the scientific and data analysis challenges and opportunities that high-SNR, high-dimensionality data sets from planned or potential future gravitational observatories will create. These problems and opportunities will include the global fit challenge, stochastic background detection, and multi-frequency GW source characterization—to mention but a few.
