Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The Australasian Conference on the Mechanics of Structures and Materials (ACMSM) will bring international experts and leaders together to disseminate recent research findings in the fields of structural mechanics, engineering and materials, i.e., the novel aspect of this conference is its very wide breadth. First held in Sydney in 1967 at the University of New South Wales, it is one of the longest-running conferences of its kind, taking place every 2–3 years in Australia or New Zealand. Within these 50 plus years, the conference series has become a significant event for academics, practicing engineers, and researchers not only in the Australasian region but worldwide.

The 26th ACMSM in Auckland will celebrate the return of the conference to Auckland (City of Sails) after more than 30 years. It will also be an ideal platform for participants to renew friendships, collaborations, and experience the beauty of Aotearoa New Zealand. The conference will spark discussions which will facilitate young researchers in their future endeavours. The conference provides the opportunity to cover all aspects of the mechanics of structures and materials in engineering, e.g., numerical and experimental simulations, composite materials and structures, as well as infrastructure under static and dynamic loadings, both natural and man-made. The Special Issue will be a collection of extended papers from the 26th Australasian Conference on the Mechanics of Structures and Materials.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Sci is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
