Travel Award

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that Resources will be granting the 2024 Travel Award to one promising early career researcher. The applications will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee consisting of senior scholars from the Resources Editorial Board.

This award provides financial support for the winner to attend an international conference in the field of resources to be held in 2024, in order to deliver a presentation, present a poster, or both.

Candidate Requirements:
– Postdoctoral fellow (within 3 years of receiving PhD) or current PhD student.
– Plans to attend an international conference in 2024 (oral presentation or poster) to present their own original work.

Required Application Documents:
– Outline of the research to be presented and its significance; why the applicant wishes to have the support of Resources; and details of a travel budget, including funding available from other sources. (1 page)
– CV, with a complete list of publications. (1–2 pages, plus a publication list)
– Details of the conference to be attended and a copy of the abstract (indicating co-authors); indication of oral presentation or poster; acceptance letter or anticipated date of decision. (1 page)
– A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s supervisor or department head, which also confirms the applicant’s status as either a Ph.D. student or postdoctoral fellow. (1 page)

The winner will be awarded CHF 800 and an electronic certificate.

Please submit your applications for the Resources 2024 Travel Award online by 31 January 2024. The prize will be awarded at the end of March 2024 and announced on the Resources website.
