Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Parasitic diseases concern health and human life, particularly infections caused by protozoans and helminths, such as malaria, trypanosomiasis, leishmaniasis, Chagas disease, schistosomiasis, onchocerciasis, lymphatic filariasis, and helminthiases. On a global scale, parasitic diseases are responsible for almost one million deaths yearly. In recent years, parasites have been exhibiting resistance to known conventional treatments, which are costly and out of reach for many impoverished individuals. The exploration of potential botanical antiparasitics, which are inexpensive and abundant, may be a promising alternative in this context.

This special issue will focus on natural products with antiparasitic activity. We invite scholars to submit original research articles or review articles.
