Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Improving care for patients, healthcare students and professionals is a crucial issue in modern societies, as it relates to their health, safety and well-being, which in turn affects the performance of public and private organizations, family and social functioning and the well-being and growth of society as a whole. In this context, communication skills, emotional intelligence, empathy and compassion stand out as fundamental elements that directly contribute to improving such care by promoting higher levels of well-being and health in professionals, students and users. In addition to these, another key element is working conditions. Psychosocial risks and work-related stress are among the most challenging issues in occupational safety and health, impacting significantly on the health of individuals, organizations, and national economies. All of this has an impact on the quality of service and user satisfaction.
