We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Molecules 2023 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Nikolay Kornienko.
Dr. Nikolay Kornienko is an Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Montreal, Montreal, Canada. Dr. Kornienko received his PhD in 2016 and finished his postdoctoral studies in 2018. He initiated his research program at the University of Montreal in January 2019, focusing on developing innovative approaches to renewable energy electrocatalysis. He has an outstanding publication record, comprising 75 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and 1 international patent. His Scopus Scientific Citations number is 8,879 and his Hirsch index is 36. Dr. Kornienko has received 25 international grants since January 2016. This is an outstanding achievement in today’s competitive environment. The independent work of Dr. Kornienko and his research team in developing electrocatalytic systems with novel functionality and enhanced scope is a widely impactful addition to the materials, energy, and electrochemistry community. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Kornienko on his outstanding achievements.
As the awardee, Dr. Kornienko will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before 30 June 2024 in Molecules after peer review, and an electronic certificate.
