Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

With this Special Issue “Medicines Young Investigators”, we aim to help young investigators exchange knowledge and increase the visibility of their studies on medical topics with specialists from both medical disciplines and subspecialties as well as from other disciplines. In this Special Issue, we will present the main research work of young researchers, either as first author or as corresponding author, in the early stages of their research career (undergraduate, graduate, master’s, and doctoral students). Thus, a wide variety of clinical and preclinical disciplines will be covered, with the aim of contributing not only to overall knowledge but also to new innovative directions of research and development. Investigators with backgrounds in medicine are welcome to submit papers, as are others such as from health, biological, physical and food sciences, or engineering. We aim to raise the profile of young investigators, increasing their visibility and arousing interest in the community of investigators who conduct research in medicine and fields with medical applications. Along with the manuscript, the young author must submit a personal profile that includes a photograph, the university from which they graduated, current affiliation, and scientific interests or experience. Through this new initiative, we wish to strengthen the network of young researchers, paving the way for the next stages of their research careers.

Please feel free to contact us and send us any suggestions you would like to discuss in advance. We look forward to your contribution and welcome your participation in this Special Issue.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Medicines is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
