Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, and the world's population is not only affected by its mortality, but we all have to live with the consequences of such cardiovascular diseases, which lead to disability, impairment, and a reduced quality of life.
Despite the great progress achieved in the field of cardiovascular medicine and in cardiac surgery in particular, more research is needed to further improve our patients' treatment and quality of life.
We look forward to receiving your high-quality original research articles, reviews, and communications to explore and share the state of the art in the field.

For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Hearts is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
