Travel Award

Dear Colleagues,

As Editor-in-Chief of Electronics, I am pleased to announce the two winners of the 2020 Electronics Travel Award. The award consists of 800 Swiss Francs and a certificate for each winner. The awards have been granted to:

Dr. David Valiente, a post-doc fellow at Miguel Hernández University (UMH), Spain. His research work has laid the groundwork for the innovative creation of a realistic, robust, and feasible mapping and localization mobile robotic system. He plans to present his work at the Technology, Teaching and Learning of Electronics Conference 2020, Porto, Portugal.

Dr. Jaroslav Frnda, a post-doc fellow at University of Zilina (Slovakia). His research includes multimedia services, QoS/QoE (video quality assessement methods), computer networks and next generation networks, and artificial intelligence. He plans to present his work at the 43rd International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), Milan, Italy.

Electronics is proud to support these young researchers working in the field of electronics, and wish them further success in their careers. We are grateful to all who submitted applications—thank you for letting us get to know you and your work. We hope all of you continue to support Electronics in the future.
