Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The COVID-19 pandemic caused many serious impacts on the world concerning quality of life and sustainable development in the business environment, as well as on the world economy. The pandemic’s long-term effects on social and economic well-being also created global challenges for public health and business resilience. Now that the pandemic is coming to an end, it is also imperative that the business and economics sector leadership re-examines the lessons learnt from it, placing it within the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Although the pandemic caused tremendous disruptions in organizational sustainability, it is worth noting that it can provide businesses with an excellent opportunity to shift towards real business social responsibility and ethical decision-making. The occurrence of such anticipated events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, calls for a critical re-examination of corporate operating processes, as well as a more sustainable approach, which could improve resilience and the attention given to the established goals.

This Special Issue aims to study business leadership, innovation systems, and sustainable economic development in the post-COVID-19 era. In doing so, it welcomes both empirical articles and review papers dealing with all aspects of leadership and innovations in the post-COVID-19 development related to economics, business, and innovations.
